In a few years these bookmarks will be a century old. A Claude E. Nichols had the original idea of presenting their customers with a calendar with a detachable bookmark. The firm Claude E. Nichols doesn't exist any more but curiously it does exist the firm that made these calendars: Brown and Bigelow, still devoted to production of promotional items.
I bought these two calendars a few days ago and they have already become one of the jewels of my collection. Not only because the bookmarks are really beautiful and elegant, but because, furthermore, the promotional idea of the calendar-bookmark is lovely to me! Claude E. Nichols had, indeed, very good taste
