Sergio Leone was inspired by the autobiographical novel 'The Hoods' by Harry Grey (pseudonym) to create this cinema masterpiece. It is not only a film about the life of some gansters in New York, it is more than that, it is about the friendship, the forgiveness, about the memories... Ennio Morricone composed one of the most spectacular sound tracks on the cinema history. Lots of the scenes were filmed at the film set with this background music.

Literalmente "De la primitiva rosa sólo nos queda el nombre, conservamos nombres desnudos".The Franciscan William the Baskerville (Sean Connery) together with the novice Adso Von Melk (Christian Slater) arrive in a Benedictine monastery in the North of Italy, where a debate about the evangelical poverty will take place. Then a series of crimes start happening into the monastery and William the Baskerville become Sherlock Holmes of the 14th century.
I am sorry but I don't know the title of this illustration. I found it on the chapter titled 'Conceptual Illustration' of 'Encyclopedia of Illustration Techniques' (Catharine Slade). According to the authoress, Paul Turgeon wanted to symbolize the reading during the summer holidays.
Few days ago (May 17th) it was celebrated the Galician Literature Day devoted, this year, to Xosé María Álvarez Blázquez.
